CHANEL GRAND SHOPPING TOTE (GST) DISCONTINUED IN US

I am so bummed out to know that Chanel GST is being discontinued in the US. I went to a Chanel Boutique (Ala Moana Center, Honolulu) yesterday to check if they have the GST and the SA told me that it is being discontinued. I really want to get the GST as my first Chanel bag but so sad they don't have it anymore (in US). She did show me the new totes that they have right now but I don't like them as much as I like the GST. :-(

I asked my sister who is in Dubai to check if they have it there and yes they have it. It is almost the same price in the US after tax but of course she has to ship it here for $200 or more. I am not really sure if it is a good idea to have it shipped halfway round the world. It might take some time and we are moving to another state soon. Not a good timing!
I do have other options in mind: Prada Saffiano Double Zip tote and Yves Saint Laurent Classic Monogram Shopping bag. The YSL one is the closest to the Chanel GST.  Love these bags! Classic looking pieces and cost a few bucks less than the Chanel GST.

CHANEL LIPSTICKS: ROUGE ALLURE VELVET, ROUGE COCO

So I decided to buy my Chanel lipsticks from the boutique this time. I bought my other lipsticks from Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus online and Sephora (Middle East).

The packaging is just perfect! They come in a simple, sleek black and gold packaging. Oh and I love the click mechanism of the Rouge Allure ones. 

I got two shades of Rouge Allure Velvet Intense Long-wear Lip Colour. If you are looking for a good matte lipsticks, I would highly recommend Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet. They are the most comfortable matte lipsticks I have ever tried. Glides on like butter, non-drying and it has a great staying power.

CHANEL ROUGE ALLURE VELVET INTENSE LONG-WEAR LIP COLOUR  # 50 LA ROMANESQUE retails for $36, 0.12 oz of product described as magenta

La Romanesque is a bold magenta shade with cool blue undertone. I think this would suit all kinds of skin tones. It's a perfect spring shade but for me,  I would wear it all year round. Such a pretty shade!

La Sensuelle is a berry red shade great for fall and winter.  This is my favorite kind of red.  Just like La Romanesque, the color is so rich, very long lasting and leaves a stain behind.

Chanel Rouge Coco Ultra Hydrating Lip Colour has been reformulated not too long ago. I only have one shade from the Rouge Coco collection that I got late last year. (review here) I really love it! It is one of my favorite lipsticks. I only bought one this time but I would repurchase some more. I just need more time to decide which shades to purchase.

This shade is perfect for everyday use. It applies semi-opaque but buildable up to full coverage. It has a warm, gold tiny shimmers which I really love. It is very moisturizing and comfortable on the lips.

CHANEL LIPSTICKS

I got my Chanel lipsticks late last year and I am planning to get some more soon. There are a few new shades that I want to try. But of course I need some time to decide which shades to purchase.
I just want to share my thoughts about these shades that I got. I did a lot of research  on the internet before I purchased them. Reviews and swatches online really helped me to decide which shades to buy.  Hope this will help you too.
I only got four shades: 1 Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colour, 2 Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour and 1 Rouge Coco Hydrating Lip Colour. I have a medium skin with yellow undertone and these shades look good on me. (my shade is a mixture of NC 20 and 30 for reference)
I really love the formulation of these lipsticks. They're not drying on the lips, won't transfer on my teeth like my other lipsticks and they are long-wearing. Aside from the formulation, I also love the sleek and classic black and gold packaging. It retails for $36.


Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colour  #34 La Raffinée Warm pink mauve shade

This is a matte lipstick but it is non-drying like the other brands of matte lipsticks that I own. It has a velvety finish and glides on easily. The formulation is great, has a good color pigmentation and staying power. I would definitely repurchase it.

Chanel Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour #145 Rayonnante Deep fuchsia shade with mauve shimmer

This lipstick has a glossy finish and has a creamy texture. It also has a good staying power and very pigmented. 

Chanel Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour #99 Pirate

A classy red shade with blue undertone

This is a perfect classic red lipstick. The shade is similar to MAC Ruby Woo but the formulation is way better.  Love the satin finish and it is long lasting.

Chanel Rouge Coco Hydrating Lip Colour #05 Mademoiselle

Warm dusty pink shade

This is my most worn of them all. It's a perfect everyday lipstick. It has a creamy texture, very hydrating and long lasting. I sometimes wear a lip liner underneath but most of the time just by itself. 

Last spring, Rouge Coco was revamped. It has a new formula but same packaging. Mademoiselle is now #434.

HAUL TIME

I was kind of MIA on YouTube and haven't posted any blog either. I apologize for that. Been so busy lately 'cause my husband and I are moving back to the US.

Last December, I went to Philippines to visit my family for more than 2 weeks (almost 3 weeks) and when I got home, I got busy preparing for our move. So, I didn't have that much time to film a video. When I filmed this haul, I was not even done yet with packing but glad I was able to wing it. 

We are staying in a hotel right now and we have 3 more days left here in the Kingdom of Bahrain. I'm going to miss this place and my friends too. We've been here since 2011. (3 years and 6 months)

Hope you are still supporting my channel, watch my videos and like them. I do appreciate all of you. I am planning to do another giveaway soon so make sure to watch out for that. It's going to be my first giveaway for 2015. I'm excited!
